Terms & Conditions

All bookings are subject to the deposit and cancellation terms which apply to the tariff you have selected:

Standard Tariff

Rates are per room and include Scottish breakfast.

Length of stay discounts are automatically applied to stays of 7+ nights.

A deposit of 35% of the cost of the accommodation is required to secure your reservation. This deposit is fully refundable if cancellation is made more than 4 weeks ahead of your arrival. For cancellations within 4 weeks of arrival your deposit will be refunded only if the accommodation is re-let.

If you are delayed and unable to check-in on the booked arrival date but wish us to hold the room for a delayed arrival, you should notify us before 6.30pm on the booked arrival date. The room/s will be held and a cancellation charge of 35% of the cancelled nights accommodation will be made.

Iona Pilgrimage tariff

Bookings for Iona Pilgrimage events with John Philip Newell will only be accepted for the full 7 night duration of the retreat.

Single occupancy supplements apply as follows: Twin/double room £650, large double/family room £750, superior twin/double £850. 

Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast, tea and coffee with meals, course fee and one packed lunch for a day exploring Iona. Prices do not include travel to and from Iona, other lunches, additional teas & coffees and drinks.

Payment in full is required upon booking. If cancellation occurs more than 12 weeks before the retreat start date there will be a £100 per person administration charge and the remainder will be refunded.  If cancellation occurs within 12 weeks of the retreat start date there will be a £100 per person administration charge and the remainder will be refunded only if the room is re-let. In the event that the room is not re-let, all payments will be retained. Please note that there is a different policy for group bookings.

Coming Home tariff

Bookings for the Coming Home retreat will only be accepted for the full 7 night duration of the retreat.

For single occupancy of a double, twin or family room a supplement of £300 is charged.

Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast, tea and coffee with meals, course fee and one packed lunch for a day exploring Iona. Prices do not include travel to and from Iona, other lunches, additional teas & coffees and drinks.

A non-refundable deposit of 35% of the total charge is payable upon booking.

Iona Community Retreat tariff

Bookings for the Coming Home retreat will only be accepted for the full 7 night duration of the retreat.

For single occupancy of a double, twin or family room a supplement of £300 is payable. This is a chargeable extra and should be selected at checkout.

Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast, tea and coffee with meals, course fee and one packed lunch for a day exploring Iona. Prices do not include travel to and from Iona, other lunches, additional teas & coffees and drinks.

A non-refundable deposit of 35% of the total charge is payable upon booking.

Special offers and promotions

Special offers and promotions may be available from time to time and for limited periods. Special offers and promotions are subject to the specific deposit and cancellation terms advertised and which can be viewed during the online booking process. Special offers and promotions may include packages that require payment in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable in any circumstances.

VAT

All rates are inclusive of VAT.

Cancellations

Cancellations cannot be made online. Please contact us by phone or email if you wish to cancel your reservation.

Amendments

Changes to your booking cannot be made online. Please contact us by phone or email if you wish to amend your reservation.

Length of stay discount

Where a length of stay discount has been applied and the duration of stay is later amended so as to affect the eligibility for a length of stay discount, the rate will be adjusted accordingly.

Chargeable extras

If chargeable extras apply and these are not selected at checkout we reserve the right to add the charge/s and to collect any further deposit due.

Confirmation

Your booking is not confirmed until you have completed the checkout process and received a confirmation email. Please check your confirmation email carefully to ensure that all details are correct.

We may need to contact you regarding the details of your booking if there appear to be any discrepancies. In the event that your requirements cannot be met within the room configurations you have selected, we will make every effort to provide a suitable alternative/s.

Room moves

We will make every effort to allocate the same room/s for the duration of your stay. If a room move cannot be avoided we will notify you and you will have the option to cancel without penalty.

Check-in

Check-in is from 2pm.

Check-out

Check-out is by 10am on the day of departure. A late check-out charge will be made if the room is not vacated by 10am without a late check-out having been agreed in advance.

Non-arrival

If you fail to check-in on the booked arrival date without having notified us, we reserve the right to release the booked room/s and retain all deposits paid.

Travel

Ferries to and from Iona may be disrupted or cancelled in adverse weather conditions or for technical reasons. If you are unable to reach Iona in these circumstances the deposit and cancellation terms for your selected tariff will be applied. You are advised to take out travel insurance to cover any cancellation charges incurred.

Large parties

A maximum of 3 rooms may be booked online. For larger parties please contact us direct for availability and bookings.

Group bookings

Group bookings are subject to different terms and conditions and cannot be made online. Please contact us for details.
